Super Berries

“Berries are amazing beauty boosters”

Hey gorgeous,

Today I want to talk to you about the benefits of berries!

Berries are my absolute favorite fruit because they are low in natural sugar and high in nutrients. Blueberries, acai, noni and goji berries are listed as superfoods and are packed full of powerful antioxidants. These antioxidants help to reduce free radical damage and promote collagen production, which is great for your hair, skin and nails. Berries are amazing beauty boosters because they contain resveratrol, which helps to protect the body from damage and eating these fruits frequently can actually slow down the aging process of your cells!

Benefits of Eating Super Berries:

  • Weight management
  • Improves digestion
  • Decreases bloating
  • Boosts your mood
  • Improves your skin, hair & nails
  • Strengthens your immune function
  • Improves energy levels
  • Enhances detoxification
  • Reduces inflammation
  • Stimulates growth of new cells
  • Stabilises blood sugar
  • Reduces sugar cravings

What to eat…

All berries are great but a few of my personal favorites are:

  • Acai Berry
  • Amla/Amalika/Indian Gooseberry (used in Ayurvedic medicine)
  • Blackberry
  • Blueberry
  • Black Mulberry
  • Cranberry
  • Goji Berry
  • Grapes
  • Noni

  • Strawberry
  • Red Mulberry
  • White Mulberry

My Top 10 Tips:

  1. Add fresh berries to your smoothies and juices.
  2. Use frozen berries to make healthy ice-cream.
  3. Add berries into your salads (I like to use dried goji berries)
  4. Add them into your water bottle to make vitamin water.
  5. Swap your morning coffee for a berry tea.
  6. Add them into your treats! (I blend avocado, cacao powder & raspberries together to make healthy chocolate mousse and cake frosting)
  7. Add them into your cooking. (I blend beetroot & strawberries together to make soup)
  8. Experiment with different ways of eating berries (fresh, frozen, blended, puréed, juiced)
  9. Buy fresh berries in summer when they are in season (for my Australian babes)
  10. Snack on fresh berries to avoid sugar cravings.
