“I can achieve anything if I take daily inspired action towards it” – Kathryn Chandler
Hey Gorgeous Goddess,
Today I want to guide you closer to achieving the dreams and goals you have for your life with some practical tools and tips that are fun and easy to do!
What Is The Difference Between Dreams & Goals?
Dreams are something you create in your mind that can take any shape or form, while goals are based on taking action. For example, you might dream of going on holiday to Europe, so you set yourself the goal that in 12 months time you want to be getting on the plane that will take you to your dream holiday. A little hint, setting a goal brings you one step closer to turning your dream into reality!
How I Take Inspired Action To Achieve My Goals And Turn My Dreams Into Reality:
Towards the end of every year, usually around November or December, I like to spend some time looking forward into the next year, thinking about the dreams and goals I have for my life.
I start by doing a meditation to bring clarity of mind and to connect deeply with my true self.
I then like to make a cup of my favourite herbal tea and sit down at my desk with my inspiring essential oils diffusing (I am obsessed with Wild Orange from DoTERRA) or I take a fresh, cold-pressed green juice to the beach with a journal.
Firstly, I reflect on the year that was, I like to look at the Dreams & Goals list I had made for that year and recognise what I achieved in that year. I ask myself, What worked well? What can I improve? What can I change? What can I add? Sometimes it helps to make a “Start Doing/Stop Doing/Keep Doing” list.
Secondly, I turn to a fresh new page and write down every single dream and goal I can possibly think of, that I would like to achieve in my lifetime. This list can include anything and everything, the more wild and outrageous your goals and dreams are the better! I want you to dream HUGE, because nothing good comes from playing small and you experience the most personal growth by getting out of your comfort zone.
To give you an example, some of my big life dreams include:
– Writing and publishing an inspiring, health & wellness book for women
– Being a motivational speaker at large events
– Facilitating health & wellness retreats in the Noosa Hinterland
– Owning a home that is close to the ocean and surrounded by nature
– Becoming a certified yoga, Pilates and barre teacher
Once I have everything out of my head and onto paper, I begin to categorise my dreams into 1year/3year/5year and 10year+ goals. I highlight all the things that are achievable in the first year and focus on those for now.
Using my 1 Year goals list, I then break up the items into monthly, weekly and daily goals that are realistic and achievable.
Now that I have a clear list of goals for the year ahead I like to create a vision board. I look at my list as I get inspiration from Pinterest and save these images, which I then print, and pin up on the corkboard above my office desk. I am a very visual person so seeing my goals in this way really helps to inspire me.
I also type up my list of goals so that they are clear, concise and easy to read. You can keep it simple or you can jazz it up by using a beautiful template from Canva. I read this list every morning before I write out my inspired actions and Top 3 MITs (Most Important Tasks) for the day.
I am a massive believer in the power of our mind and using affirmations and visualisation techniques to manifest my dreams into reality.
Each morning when I look in the mirror to say my daily affirmations I include these two:
While I do my morning meditation I visualise that my dreams are already my reality and that my goals have already been achieved.
Remember dreams don’t work unless you do! So believe that you are worthy of your dreams, know that you CAN have ALL that your heart so deeply desires and take DAILY inspired action towards your goals and dreams!
I am so excited for you to live your best life babe!
